Our program was established from a psychosocial, rehabilitative and recovery-based philosophy.
Research has proven the benefits of community living, healthy nutrition and social environments upon those seeking recovery from mental illness.
Participating in our program is an integral part of living at 1425 Bayview and we want to ensure that potential residents will benefit from and enjoy the program.
Healthy nutrition and lifestyle is a cornerstone of our work and are essential components to recovery. We incorporate quality programs, both inside and out in the community such as cooking, yoga, hiking, swimming, music and education. Active living, physically and cognitively, fosters a sense of self-worth which comes from being engaged in life.
Our program provides foundation and structure, which addresses the common desire to belong and be a part of a larger circle. We encourage and assist our residents to broaden their experience both inside our doors and beyond to address the isolation often associated with mental illness. Our compassionate staff have empathy and understanding for residents when they are struggling with their challenges.
Located in Toronto’s charming Leaside neighbourhood, our residents enjoy a safe, clean walkable neighbourhood complete with a library, community centre, a wealth of boutiques, excellent restaurants and coffee shops, swimming pool and tennis courts.
We’re very blessed here at 1425 Bayview. The program is very well organized and has been carefully arranged to help each of us, individually and collectively.
